The position is located in Denver for a fully-integrated Cannabis Company. The Company has been in existence and operating for over 10 years and is one of the most respected in the industry. Executive management team is based out of Denver and the Company is looking to expand the footprint across the country via mergers, acquisitions and organic growth.

As the Accounting Manager, you will report directly to the CFO and you have responsibility and authority over the accounting department and function, as well as working with management and team members to create a more effective, efficient and productive financial reporting process. Will also include assisting in the further development, implementation and maintenance for internal controls and procedures to ensure that the Company accounting is being properly performed and financial position accurately reported. Working with operating teams to develop budgets annually and monthly reporting will be key. Special emphasis is required on cost accounting with analysis and reporting of finished goods and manufacturing costs. Develop financial reports and analysis to adequately measure Company performance as well as individual departments for policy deployment and ongoing improvement.

You would be working with an experienced CFO with manufacturing, public and process improvement experience, ensuring adequate support, training and technical guidance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for all accounting processes and functions the Company and affiliated companies.
  • Develop and coordinate annual Company budgets.
  • Monthly reporting and working with operating departments
  • Cost Accounting maintenance and reporting
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of all GL activity including accounts payable, accounts receivable and sales
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of inventory accuracy

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum four year degree in Accounting
  • Minimum two years’ experience in Manufacturing accounting in a supervisory position
  • Proficient in regulatory reporting requirements
  • Extensive experience in Excel is a must for modeling, forecasting and reporting purposes
  • Ability to delegate effectively to meet concurrent deadlines
  • Supervisory skills
  • Detail and results oriented and excellent accuracy
  • Analytical with good oral and writing presentation skills
  • Ability to take leadership and drive continuous improvement
  • Ability to partner with all levels of the organization
  • Current holder of Colorado Key MED badge or ability to acquire MED badge prior to employment

PREFERRED

  • CPA would be desired but not required
