Job Summary

Kush Bottles is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager responsible for the Accounting function. This role will develop and manage the financial close process, internal controls (SOX), SEC reporting and Accounting staff.

Corporate Controller

Provides Direction to:

Accounting staff

Examples of Essential Functions:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close
  • Develop and manage financial close process focused on process improvement
  • Manage quarterly review and annual audit activities with outside audit firm
  • Manage SEC reporting requirements
  • Develop and manage Accounting Policy
  • Develop and manage internal controls (SOX) framework
  • Develop and manage Accounting staff
  • Ensure that various financial compliance activities are performed timely and accurately

Education/training/experience:

  • 5-10 years' experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Certified Public Accounting (CPA) strongly preferred
  • Public accounting experience and public company experience preferred
  • Experience with large ERP accounting system with preference to NetSuite
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience managing and developing staff
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
  • Work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Detailed oriented

Knowledge of:

  • This role requires advanced accounting skills conceptual and application skills
  • Ability to adapt in high paced working environment
  • Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving skills

Physical Standards:

  • This position requires frequently sitting, standing, reaching, walking, and operating a computer workstation
  • Must have finger dexterity, ability to use keyboard/ten key
  • Able to participate in the environments standing, moving onsite at events and tradeshows
  • This position requires frequently sitting, standing, reaching, walking, and handling/grasping of materials.
  • Constantly sitting, standing, walking, and operating a computer workstation.
  • This position may rarely require kneeling, bending, squatting.
  • Must have finger dexterity, ability to use keyboard/ten key.
  • Reach, stoop and lift office files, records or reports, typically weighing 20 pounds or less.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
