Accounting Manager

NorCal Cannabis Company, one of California’s fastest growing companies, provides management services to a vertically integrated group of cannabis cultivation and retail dispensary facilities in the San Francisco Bay and Santa Rosa Area, is seeking highly qualified applicants to apply for the role of an Accounting Manager.

Job Description

The accounting manager will report to the Controller and assist in the preparation and management of consolidated financials for all company entities. He/she will manage the financials in accordance to GAAP and will work together with bookkeeping staff. The accounting manager will also help reconcile and maintain all intercompany activity, investor equity accounts as well as loan/debt management. . He/she will lead audit preparation and audit process.

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting - Manage the month end close process, provide monthly Balance Sheet, P&L and Cash flow reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare monthly department level reports, coordinate with the various managers a review of their financial information to ensure accuracy and spending within the plan.
• Review and manage consolidated financials for all company entities.
• Budgeting and Planning - Creation of annual plan including quarterly budget by department. Assist, prepare and monitor actual performance against the current budget and business plan.
• Equity Management - Ensure the proper recording of all equity activity for all partners/investors contributions and distributions.
• Manage the audit process.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements audit work papers, footnotes, and schedules.
• Perform account reconciliations including intercompany transactions.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 years plus of previous accounting manager level experience
• BA degree preferably in accounting
• Public accounting Auditor Experience
• Internal Audit experience
• Experience with Subsidiaries and Consolidations
• Quickbooks Online + Desktop
• Outstanding PC skills with Word and Excel
