Accounting Manager

A rapidly growing manufacturer specializing in cannabis infused products is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their operations. This is a start up company who is embarking on multi-state expansion for 2018. We are looking for a sharp, energetic and driven accounting professional who can facilitate growth and help take this company to the next level.

As an Accounting Manager, your competencies should include:

• Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager
• Previous accounting experience within the food and beverage manufacturing industries
• Advanced computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, accounting software, and databases
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to direct and supervise
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Preference will be given to candidates with Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant

You’ll be responsible for:

• Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department
• Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and producing financial reports or statements
• Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles
• Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, core payroll processing and overall corporate payroll tax compliance
• Participating in a wide variety of special projects and compiling a variety of special reports

Physical Demands and Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
