Accounting Clerk

The Hartford Dispensary is currently seeking a hardworking, Accounting Clerk to become a member of the agency. The ideal candidate will be process oriented, possess strong time management skills, and excellent communication skills.

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Office Manager prepares on a weekly and monthly basis various statistical reports. Prepares accounts payable vouchers and checks, bank deposits. Performs basic bookkeeping duties in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Prepares accounts payable vouchers for processing;
  • Balances and Tracking/Reports;
  • Performs other data entry and bookkeeping duties as needed.
  • Maintains accurate records and keeps documentation as necessary.
  • Ensure that receipts for payments are received by the agency, and that check requests are processed timely.

Education, Licensure & Experience

Associate's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and two (2) years of bookkeeping, accounting, or claims processing experience required. Attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
