Who we are

We are a group of highly motivated professionals pursuing rapid growth through cultivation and wholesale of premium brands into the US cannabis market place. The business is exciting and fast paced as well as challenging given the rapidly changing regulatory environment. We are committed to being leaders in the cannabis industry and are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Accountant to join our team.

Who we need

The Company is conducting a search for a part to full time (30-40 hours per week) Accountant to work in our Sun Valley distribution facility. The ideal candidate will ideally have achieved or be studying in their final stages their CPA designation.

What you can do

Responsibilities will include a broad range of duties including:

• Entering journal entries, tracking sales, performing bank and GL account reconciliations, accounts payable and billing functions, and ensuring a strong control environment
• Inventory management, including performing inventory counts, identifying optimal order times and quantities, and accounting for the transformation from raw materials to finished goods
• Preparing monthly financial reporting packages for the Corporate Office, at times including budgeting and forecasting
• Providing relevant financial analysis to support business decisions and assisting in the preparation of financial models and strategies

We are looking for someone with advanced critical thinking skills, ability to multi-task, and skilled in Excel. Experience with Xero and/or Dear is an asset. The candidate is hardworking and will have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. The role reports to the Corporate office located in Vancouver, BC, so the ideal candidate is able to work well under minimal supervision and has strong communication skills.

Some things we think you should know

• The role will report to the VP Sales and Marketing (based in Los Angeles) and Controller (based in Vancouver, Canada).
• We are willing to be flexible on work hours for the right candidate who may be limited to 30 hours a week or flex days.
• We are a fun, young, dynamic and hard-working team and are rapidly growing.
• We want someone who thinks this industry is exciting as we do. Please note that experience in the ‘cannabis lifestyle’ is not a pre-requisite nor expected.
