We are looking for experienced Security Guards with excellent customer service skills and Security experience. We are looking for team players not afraid of wearing many hats and managing a constantly changing workflow. Key Responsibilities:
- Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge to promote the culture, values and mission of Dockside;
- Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the team;
- Follows and ensures team compliance with Dockside operational policies and procedures, including those for safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
- Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality;
- Follows health, safety and regulatory guidelines;
- Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
- Protecting company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environmentObserving for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
- Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
- Report in detail any suspicious incidents
- Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter
Job Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age;
- Minimum of 1 year of security in a regulated industry (502, bar, etc)
- Availability between 6:30pm and 11:30pm daily - This is a part time position
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong verbal communication skills and excellent organizational skills;
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
Required demonstrated skills and abilities:
- Proven ability to work independently with little or no supervision;
- Ability to receive and provide constructive feedback on work performance.
