Job Description:
We are currently seeking individual with formal agricultural background and extensive large-scale greenhouse and cultivation experience to serve as project leader throughout facility planning, construction and start-up operations. Projects will be 12-24 months long, on average, and candidate would be required to relocate to areas surrounding project sites.
Ideal candidate would have experience in the following:
Greenhouse management (cannabis experience preferred)
Managing a crew of 20 or more gardeners
Construction (greenhouse-specific)
HVAC, electrical, plumbing, irrigation and automation systems
Project Management
Managing contractors
Working knowledge of construction permitting process
Operation of heavy equipment
Compliance
Working knowledge of inventory management systems
Special consideration will be made for bilingual candidates (Spanish)
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in agronomy, botany or similar (or 5-10 years’ professional experience, in lieu of degree)
2 years’ experience in a related field
Background in plant sciences, chemistry, or a degree in a related field
Passion for the Cannabis industry
Working knowledge of various growing techniques/methods (hydro, soil, greenhouse, indoor, outdoor, hybrid, synthetic, organic, etc.)
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office
Ability and desire to travel and live in new areas for 1-2 years at a time, in corporate housing
