Job Description:

The Dispenser will meet with medical marijuana patients one-on-one and guide them by suggesting products specific to their symptoms. The Dispenser will also be responsible for point-of-sale transactions, scheduling patient appointments and managing inventory. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ●Assist in scheduling of patient visits in conjunction with the Office Manager ●Greet patients upon arrival, provide patient caregiving services, including but not restricted to -Advice on strains for symptom relief -Advice on ingestion method -Advice on additional products -Sale of product -Survey returning patients on effectiveness of products Record all sales/purchases in database ● Perform a daily inventory reconciliation of active products (excluding storage) ● Perform a daily cash closing report ● Make reports for all sales/purchase in conjunction with Dispensary Manager ● Keep reception, dispensary, and office organized and clean in conjunction with Dispensary Manager ● Required Training: -The Dispenser must receive HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) training to assure patient confidentiality -The Dispenser must receive training in, and adherence to, quality control requirements by completing the VPA Quality Control Training. -Learn, understand and comply with the VT Marijuana Registry Rules Regulating Cannabis for Symptom Relief ● Authority and Supervision - The Dispenser is supervised by the Dispensary Manager ● Performance Evaluations -The Dispensary Managers will annually review the performance of the Dispenser and report conclusions to the Director of Operations

Job Requirements:

A one-year degree from an institution in herbal medicine. Demonstrated knowledge of plant growth and development. Experience in retail, customer service, healthcare services or social work is highly desired. Experience with people suffering from debilitating medical conditions and knowledge of patient confidentiality policies. Experience with office computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Macintosh software, Dropbox and the ability to learn new software systems that are specific to the industry. Focused, organized and detail-oriented with problem solving and decision-making skills. Must successfully pass a criminal record check with the Vermont Crime Information Center.
