Job Description:

The Pharmacist position drives the company’s patient interaction, inventory management, and compliance efforts under the direction of the Lead Pharmacist and Compliance Director. The Pharmacist is a member of the company’s medical professional team which is primarily responsible for the safe and efficient distribution of medical marijuana (MMJ), managing patient interactions, recommending medication in coordination with the patient’s doctor, ensuring the company complies with Pennsylvania’s Medical Marijuana Law and associated regulations, and supporting the company’s understanding of MMJ research and efficacy. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Delivers best-in-class customer service to patients. Accountable for management, oversight, and operation of all aspects of patient interaction, inventory management and compliance during shift. Provides medicine information such as dosing, compatibilities, and substitutes to physicians, patients, and other members of the Cure Medical Professional Team. Verifies the work performed by store personnel, which includes patient data and inventory entry and accurate filing of patient orders. Ensures that the quality of professional services is maintained. Cultivates and maintains excellent relationships with physicians who issue patient certifications. Supports the company’s efforts to meet all regulatory requirements. Regularly audits order fulfillment and ensures inventory is accurate. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the profession to maintain professional competency and proficiency by participating in organization memberships; by attending meetings, lectures, in-services and seminars; by reading journals; to maintain professional competency and proficiency.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree. Must have 3+ years of experience preferably in a retail pharmacy environment. Active Pharmacy License in Pennsylvania. No disciplinary actions on Pennsylvania Pharmacy License. Able to maintain and pass Pennsylvania Department of Health background check. ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Must be a licensed registered pharmacist and have attended and passed the Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Program 4-hour medical practitioner training and the 2-hour compliance training for all PA Medical Marijuana employees.
