Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and creative contract WordPress designer with 5+ years experience in designing engaging and innovative websites who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. This is a remote position however, you MUST be located in the USA.
You should have in-depth knowledge of front-end programming languages, a good eye for aesthetics, and strong content management skills. You will create attractive, user-friendly websites that perfectly meet the design and functionality specifications of the client. Prior experience in the cannabis industry is a plus.
- Designing and building the website front-end
- Creating the website architecture
- Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration
- Generating WordPress themes and plugins
- Conducting website performance tests
- Troubleshooting content issues
- Conducting WordPress training with the client
- Monitoring the performance of the live website
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail
- Communicate in a professional manner through verbal and written mediums
- Interface with company executives, and others on deadlines, expectations, and deliverables
- Professional experience (5 years) and passion for strategic creative design work
- BA/BS in Art, Graphic Design, or Marketing, or equivalent work experience
- Dedication to team success and commitment to company excellence is critical
- Excellent verbal, written, organizational, interpersonal skills and ability to present information – concisely and effectively
- Ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize and work independently
- Digital and social media marketing experience is an advantage
- An active portfolio of recent work
