Job Description:
The US Regional Controller is responsible for the control, coordination, and business management support of the accounting operations in the United States. This position will be located in the Orlando, Florida area, based on the east coast and reports directly to the Corporate Controller. This will be a hands-on role that will lead the company?s day-to-day accounting, cash receipts and cash disbursements functions. They will oversee accurate high-level accounting, as well as financial analysis, reporting and future projections. The US Regional Controller provides strategic leadership of the accounting and financial operations and regulatory compliance for RWB, and leads fiscal and accounting functions, provides financial analysis and insight to the leadership team, and provides general leadership and direction to staff.
- Manage the functional team leaders and staff including coordinated activities with other US departments, other global offices and the shared services center.
- Review journal entries, including those related to gross margin, expenses, capital assets, leases and intercompany debt and working capital accounts.
- Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and participate in regular discussions, planning meetings, and presentations of accounting and financial information.
- Communicate, engage, and interact with the CEO, COO, and executive leadership team.
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data for the Company?s board of directors, executive leadership team, and applicable third parties, including state regulators, auditors, and the Company?s financial and tax advisors.
- Identify, develop, and execute analysis of business initiatives, product launches, and new lines of business as the Company expands.
Job Requirements:
- Participate in discussions and pivotal decisions as they relate to strategic initiatives and operational models.
- Assist with the implementation and management of the Company?s ERP system, including financial reporting, cost accounting, and inventory management functions.
- Analyze and evaluate financial performance of the Company with regard to long-term operational goals, cash flow needs, budgets, and forecasts.
- Create and establish monthly, quarterly, and annual financial objectives that align with the Company?s plan for growth and expansion.
- Implement policies, procedures, and processes as deemed appropriate to ensure accounting, financial, and regulatory compliance.
- Present weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including profit and loss by division, forecast vs. budget by division, and cash flows by division.
- Manage financial planning and analysis directives.
- Provide insight and recommendations for improvement.
- Remain up to date with impending and new regulatory changes, including in state and federal cannabis operating and licensing regulations, and communicate any changes effectively.
