Job Description:
- Knowledge of and skill in using equipment and tools associated with tree trimming.

Knowledge of and ability to apply safety rules and regulations related to tree trimming.

Ability to perform strenuous manual labor for long periods of time.

Willingness to perform semi-hazardous and hazardous tasks.

Willingness and ability to exercise and meet established safety precautions for work performed.

Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL).

Possession of a valid Oklahoma City Tree Serviceman License.

Frequently works more than 80 feet above ground.

Frequently works in confined or cramped positions while cutting tree limbs.

Frequently work near moving objects such as traffic or machinery.

Frequently exposed to steady and fairly loud noises such as those caused by machinery.

Occasionally exposed to high amounts of dust.

Occasionally exposed allergy-causing agents such as bee or wasp stings, poison oak, ivy, or sumac.

Frequently exposed to chemical irritants such as hydraulic fluid and cleaning solvents.

Local travel on a daily basis.

Subject to working irregular work hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Strength enough to lift oneself utilizing a rope and saddle.

Stamina enough to exert oneself physically throughout the workday.

Flexibility enough to bend, twist and reach out to perform duties such as climbing from tree limb to tree limb.

Mobility enough to continually move oneself from place to place.

Gross body coordination, arm-hand steadiness, and manual dexterity enough to perform duties such as holding on to trees
Job Requirements:
while using a chain saw to cut limbs.

Near vision enough to perform duties such as sharpening teeth on saws or grinder.

Far vision enough to observe people and equipment on the ground while working in trees.

Hearing enough to understand conversation in a noisy environment.

Speech and hearing enough to communicate clearly and distinctly in person and by two-way radio.

Maximum body mass, including equipment up to 30 pounds, not to exceed 310 pounds.
