Shift Leader

Essential Functions - Assisting the managers in managing the Budtending staff throughout the retail shift. - Creating, dividing, and delegating responsibilities amongst staff to ensure that the stores needs are fulfilled daily. - Being a leader and role model by contributing positively to company culture and upkeeping rapport with both employees and supervisors. - Managing cash flow throughout the day, including building registers, closing registers, balancing a house bank, making cash deposits, and making cash exchanges throughout the shift. - Following opening procedures to ensure that the store is open and ready for operation by 9am - Following closing procedures to ensure that the store is closed safely and efficiently each night. - Maintain a superior knowledge of current products and the cannabis industry in order to be able to suggest similar products. - Interact with customers in order to interpret their needs and wants and translate that into the best product for them. - Have a general understanding of compliance laws, such as the legal age for use. - Stay current on industry trends by attending company organized vendor demos and training. - Greet all customers and ensure all customer needs are met. - Keep up to date on all deals and discounts and accurately inform customers. - Inform customers about cannabis and cannabis products in a thorough and educated manner. - Take care of the retail floor by ensuring it is stocked, kept clean, and shelf aesthetics are maintained.
