Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced, self-starting senior copywriter, primed to be a leader on our copy team. They will develop big ideas for brands, drive vision for content and help create products. They will build differentiated brand voices and tell great stories, across a wide variety of medium: print, digital, social, video, events, apps and products. They will be a key member on a growing copy team, helping guide other copywriters. They will get to work on a big variety of brands and verticals – from cannabis to footwear to cyber security.
Working as a senior member of our creative team, you will be responsible for building brand systems for game-changing, global companies leading the way in technology, business, consumer goods, healthcare, finance and more. You have experience developing big ideas for brands, driving vision for content and differentiating brand voices across media platforms. You are a natural storyteller and a life-long student of brand and culture.
You produce great work at a high quality standard while being dependable and a great teammate in both contribution and collaboration. You have a point of view, take feedback well and can self-edit. You can customize processes based on team and business needs, and be a leader to other creatives. You know the rules of the trade well enough to break them.

– Hybrid of conceptual and strategic copywriting for a variety of brand touchpoints
– Lead, partner with, and manage other copywriters
– Operate as creative lead on projects, collaborating with a lead strategist; reporting to the Creative Director
– Uphold creative standards at Butchershop
– Strong collaborator; helps make the team better, not just the copy
– Execute on copy or conceptual directives while helping drive over all project success
– 7+ years of experience
– A strong portfolio that demonstrates conceptual and versatile copywriting
– Ability to shift gears while maintaining attention to detail
– Experience leading other writers
– Web, TV, OTT, Social; Integrated Campaigns
– Experience developing digital campaigns, digital products, and apps
– Portfolio that reflects developing brand strategies, brand identities, and style guides
