Job Description:
A research technologist 1 position is available in the Department of Pharmacology to be split 50/50 between the Drug Discovery, Delivery and Development core and the Organic Synthesis Core. The research project focuses on the use of medical cannabis for the treatment of a variety of diseases as outlined by Pennsylvania Act 16, as well as the development of novel cannabinoid compounds for potential therapeutic use.
We are seeking a qualified, motivated, and accountable research technician to perform a variety of organic synthesis and cell biology experiments. Applicants should have bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or molecular biology. Familiarity with organic chemistry is preferred.
This is a fixed term appointment funded one year from date of hire.
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
