Research Technologist 1

A research technologist 1 position is available in the Department of Pharmacology to be split 50/50 between the Drug Discovery, Delivery and Development core and the Organic Synthesis Core. The research project focuses on the use of medical cannabis for the treatment of a variety of diseases as outlined by Pennsylvania Act 16, as well as the development of novel cannabinoid compounds for potential therapeutic use. We are seeking a qualified, motivated, and accountable research technician to perform a variety of organic synthesis and cell biology experiments. Applicants should have bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or molecular biology. Familiarity with organic chemistry is preferred. This is a fixed term appointment funded one year from date of hire.
