Job Description:
- Records weekly and monthly sales and reconciles sales to the general ledger and METRC.
- Oversees physical inventory count and performs inventory counts on a test basis to ensure accuracy.
- Records depreciation expense, accrued expenses, revenue, inventory adjustments, and cash expenses.
- Performs duties of a cash custodian and maintains accurate records of cash inflows and outflows.
- Responsible for transferring cash from the safe to the armored service for deposit.
- Under guidance from the Accounting Supervisor, participates in month-end closing and monthly financial reports.
- Assists in reviewing financial statements and account analysis.
- Maintains accurate records of all company owned assets and departmental expenses.
- Prepares month-end journal entries, reconciliations, account analysis as instructed by Accounting Manager.
- Understands the drivers behind various general ledger accounts, including monthly true ups.
- Responsible for the monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts.
- Participates in annual financial and tax audits.
- Assisting with documentation of accounting processes and identifying efficiency opportunities.
- Assembles information for external auditors for audits and reviews.
- Complies with local, state, and federal government financial and tax reporting requirements.
- Collaborates with the Site Management Team to prepare local budgets by providing supporting information and historical expenditure data.
- Assists Site Management in measuring performance against established budgets; and identifies potential budgetary risks/mitigation strategies based on operational changes or adjustments.

- Maintain strict confidentiality of company information, financial or otherwise.
- Serves as the local subject matter expert on internal controls, accounting processes, and GAAP.
- Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- CPA preferred
- Big 4 Audit background preferred
- Enjoys working in a start-up, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently in a highly organized manner
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and have the ability to create and understand complicated spreadsheets.
