Job Description:
Canvas Therapeutics is a newly established, rapidly growing provider of all-natural hemp extracts and CBD products with operations in Seattle, Washington and Phoenix, Arizona. Our vision is to transform health and wellness by integrating cannabinoids as a standard therapy to improve quality of life without harmful side effects. Unlike most CBD-offerings in the market, our products are developed by integrative physicians and clinicians, who are experts in cannabinoid therapy, offering industry-leading cannabinoid concentrations, advanced formulations, safety and efficacy.
- Develop specific scopes of work for key projects by directly interfacing with various functions (sales, operations, finance, compliance, marketing, executive management, etc.) and obtaining consensus as to objectives, goals and timing, including risk management
- Establish schedules for work scopes consistent with objectives, including predecessor and successor activities and dependencies, key milestones and deliverables
- Working with each function, identifying resource requirements for each scope and major tasks, including personnel, equipment, materials, third parties, funding, etc.
- Develop budgets specific to each project consistent with team needs and Company resources, and obtain concurrence from each functional lead; Obtain executive approval for budget and cash needs
- Assure each team member understands responsibilities, deliverables and timelines associated with scope, schedule, quality and budget
- Monitor progress against all objectives of schedule and budget on a consistent basis and report progress to functional leads and management as appropriate
- Identify any adjustments required to scope, schedule, resources or budget which would negatively impact achievement of project objectives;

- Provide periodic reports to project team members and Company executives to communicate status, risks, adjustments or other issues
- Because of the evolving nature of the Company, Project Manager may be tasked with other/additional functions or routine tasks, such as supporting our Director of Operations in monitoring inventory, providing support in certain procurement tasks, assisting with quality issues and other operational functions
- Provide input, when requested, to the annual business strategy and budgeting process
- Other duties as required
- 2-5 years experience in a direct Project Management role, preferably in pharmaceuticals, health supplements, health care products or medical devices. If no prior experience in these industries, please share how your experience is relevant to our business
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, health or biological sciences, or related field
- Highly personable, self-starter, articulate, energetic, can thrive in a start-up environment
- Strong technical skills including fluency in project management software tools, such as: Budgeting, Tracking and related tasks (e.g., Microsoft Excel); Planning and Scheduling programs (e.g., Microsoft Project); Presentations (Powerpoint); Financial reporting programs; Inventory control programs; and similar.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; a team player
- Interest in the cannabinoid industry and willing to dive into an emergent, highly dynamic business
- An understanding of and the ability to assess corporate financial tracking and reporting tools, including P&L statements, Balance Sheet, inventory control, etc.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to solve problems creatively and collaboratively
