Job Description:

Cookies Retail is a preferred global retail partner of Cookies that will be opening and operating store across the US and beyond. The payroll manager will ensure employees are paid timely and correctly by compiling payroll information, manage payroll preparation, and distribution. Core Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - Maintains payroll information by calculation and entering of data. - Update payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles, and department/ division transfers. - Directing the production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts. - Review timecards (high level) - Process payroll bi-weekly - Work with payroll company to track pay checks - Compile all deductions - Complete manual checks - Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies - Manage vacation accruals - Manage payroll inbox - Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests - Upload software needed - Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner - Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential. - Assist with implementation and maintains of 401K plan - Set up taxes with future states - General ledger and payroll allocation to ERP Qualifications: Required: - Passion for and knowledgeable about Cannabis - Passion for Cookies Culture - Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines - Ability to work and lead cross functional teams - Must have excellent problem solving skills - Able to clearly outline objectives, and create, assess and evaluate timelines

Job Requirements:

- Consistently delivers high-quality outputs with strong attention to detail. - Works effectively under tight deadlines, respond to changing priorities and coordinate multiple assignments and meet deadlines - Refined proficiency in creative writing, public speaking, and interpersonal business communication. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work. This employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or feet, reach with hands and arms and may be required to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. This is a full-time position.
