Packaging Specialist

The Packaging Tech Specialist is responsible for packing product to the specifications documented in the department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). This position is also responsible for operating and maintaining production line equipment, packaging products and reporting any issues with equipment or packaging to the department manager. Responsible for adhering to food industry standards and company policies, by ensuring proper protection is worn while in contact with the product. - Lab Coat - Hair Net - Other guidelines as instructed Adhering to state compliance requirements concerning proper labeling and handling of Metrc-tracked product, according to NDOT regulations and the department SOP Carry out basic quality assurance checks on all product lines being packaged Maintain clean and sanitized work areas, equipment and warehouse Efficiently meet department production goals Assemble packaging for all product lines, and feed raw materials into production machinery This position has no supervisory responsibilities Assembly line production experience preferred Experience in machine operations and maintenance Ability to trouble shoot mechanical issues – Automated packaging machines Valid OLCC or ability to obtain prior to beginning work with the company Ability to respond well to questions and seek clarification as needed Excellent communication skills that promote a positive and productive team-work environment Demonstrate a positive, friendly and outgoing attitude as part of a team Ability to use initiative and independent judgement appropriately Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse workgroup, manage stressful situations, and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it Displays High Integrity and Honesty Drives
