Packaging Manager - Cannabis

Veltiste Wellness is an ambitious cannabis start-up led by industry veterans, with multiple licenses in Michigan, Illinois, and Missouri. We are seeking a Packaging Manager to oversee the timely and compliant packaging of products into their consumer packaging in a high-volume, fast-paced setting. The Packaging Manager will lead, train, and assign tasks to the Packaging team. - Ensure the timely and compliant packaging of products into their finished goods and consumer packaging. - Plan employee schedules and packaging material delivery to ensure company revenue goals are met. - Enforce clean and organized work areas. - Ensure the restock of packaging items and tools as needed. - Conduct regularly scheduled inventory cycle counts. - Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records. - Support and enforce company Quality Assurance standards. - Track and trend Packager daily production. - Implement goals and quotas to complete packaging projects in a timely and accurate manner. - Verify quality of product is consistent with Company standards and be able to distinguish between good and bad product. - Ensure all packaged SKUs are timely delivered to distribution according to Company specifications and standards. - Ensure compliance with all Company and Government rules and regulations. - Develop a strong understanding and use of METRC inventory tracking systems. - Cross-train applicable employees as needed. - Bachelor's degree preferred. - 2+ years in a lead or management position preferred. - Ability to manage time and prioritize workflow. - Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities. - Basic knowledge of Google Suite and MS Office Suite. - An ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. - Cannabis experience
