Job Description:
The Packaging Manager will oversee the packaging team in the daily production of packaged cannabis product as well as ensuring that all digital inventory work is being completed accurately and timely. The Packaging Manager will ensure proper batch management as the packaging team works through different batches and strains over various product lines.
- Oversee daily packaging of cannabis products and ensure that the packaging team is constantly engaged and has material to work with
- Create training program for new hires as well as facilitate on-going training for the team
- Create and print accurate product labels for each batch that will be packaged using test results from the Certificates of Analysis (COA) provided by third party testing facilities
- Organize and maintain a cleaning schedule to ensure cleanliness of packaging room and all equipment involved in the various processes
- Ensure quality performance by consistently checking in with projects that packagers are completing at the multiple packaging stations
- Maintain appropriate email communication regarding employee relations
- Maintain employee timesheets and attendance record reporting
- Maintain communication with various departments to ensure that batch details are accurate and up to date
- Maintain necessary data entry for all material, finished goods, and byproduct from the packaging process
- Ensure that the team is always maintaining compliance with all state regulations, sanitation regulations, and safety standards in the production of all cannabis products produced by the company as set in the company's Policy and Procedure Manuals
- Cannabis knowledge (preferred, minimum 1 year)
- Prior Leadership with focus in employee development
- 2-4 years Management experience (required)
