- Retail Leadership: field-based in physical stores
- Focus on our dispensaries with Store Managers reporting into this role.
- Daily travel potential up to 75% with some overnights.
- Required to live in either the Bend or Portland Oregon areas.
- Proven experience in a similar role of building and leading successful retail sales teams
- Possess or willing to obtain an OLCC (Oregon) marijuana workers permit, and comply with all OLCC and company regulations and company policies
- 21 years of age or older
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work in collaboration with team to achieve objectives in a participative management style. Motivate, coach and strengthen store managers as team leaders, retail operators, and business owners.
- Management of performance & productivity through a commitment to sensible store scheduling.
- Responsible in partnership with dispensary leadership to meet or exceed all financial targets, and execute all retail strategies and initiatives
- Actively seek solutions and provide trends & feedback to senior management team to drive technology and operational improvements, interface effectively with internal development teams and service owners
- Drive sales by setting best-in-class store experience plus keeping friendly and inviting stores.

Job Requirements:
all retail operations, including merchandise presentation, signage, lighting and general maintenance.
- Assist in the opening of new stores in your territory, and at times, cover for store managers in their absence.
- Responsible for legal compliance as related to METRC (Marijuana Enforcement Tracking Reporting & Compliance), including but not limited to city, state, and local requirements.
- Enforce all company policies and procedures, including health and safety.
- Maintain integrity of all confidential information. NDA required.
- Experience with a proven track record in leading physical retail stores with superior customer focus.
- Demonstrated results-oriented leadership including the ability to model total development and serve as a steward of Tumalo Industries’ mission and values.
- Excellent communication skills: firm but fair, with the ability to deliver clear and direct written and oral feedback. Great at developing rapport, trust and open communication with store teams
- Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations
- Superior business acumen, comfortable with retail metrics.
- Desire and ability to go above and beyond designated duties. Able to self-manage, prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Flexible and adaptable to continuous change/growth. Excitement about working in a fast-paced start-up a plus!
- Maintain high ethical standards and professionalism in all business interactions
- Knowledge of retail cannabis a plus (not required)
- Computer proficiency in MS Office
