Microbiology Technician – 9AM-5PM Wednesday-Sunday Job description US Cannalytics is a multi-state testing lab with locations in NJ, PA and FL. We are in search of an Microbiology Technician in our NJ location that seeks a challenging position in an independent testing laboratory serving the medical and adult-use cannabis industry in Pennsylvania. The anticipated schedule for this position will be 9AM-5PM Wednesday-Sunday. MICROBIOLOGIST RESPONSIBILITIES: The microbiologist is responsible for the testing, quality control, and tracking of medical cannabis samples for microbiological assays - TAMC, TYMC, E.coli, and Salmonella - utilizing qPCR and traditional growth plate techniques. QUALIFICATIONS, must: Have a valid driver’s license (1) year experience using post-grad qPCR/PCR based platform (1) year experience utilizing post-grad culture-based microbiological analysis ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Follow policies and procedures for the daily operations and fully comply with state medical marijuana regulations Prepare samples for mandated state testing utilizing qPCR and culture-based techniques Producing, tracking, and documenting QCs throughout process Use of aseptic technique to handle, prepare, and analyze samples Responsible for inventory of supplies and cannabis tracking and destruction Responsible for accurate weighing and recording all product weights Works in a timely manner and strives to improve quality and maintain accuracy Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned, which may include cannabis sampling, transport, and sample preparation Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 10 hour shift 8 hour shift Overtime Weekend availability Ability to commute/relocate:
