Job Description:

The Licensing Associate I (Technical Writing) will work Trulieve’s in-house technical writing team to produce high quality written content for competitive cannabis licensing. The role involves technical and persuasive writing, research, coordination between involved parties, and proofing. The Licensing Associate will draft, improve, format, and proof a wide variety of written materials in persuasive, informative, and instructive forms. This position will work with various stakeholders to secure required documentation and ensure all licensing materials are accurate, appropriate, compelling, visually appealing, compliant, and well-organized. This position will perform independent and directed research related to topics including, but not limited to, laws and regulations, industry best practices, market characteristics, and innovation in cannabis products, technologies, and science. Key Duties and Responsibilities: - Assisting with preparing and submitting cannabis license applications as assigned - Developing, improving, formatting, proofing, and reviewing written licensing content, including but not limited to: - Assisting with evaluation of application scoring criteria and regulatory requirements, and modifying existing content or drafting new content accordingly - Recommending themes, visuals, content additions, supporting materials, and other items that will help improve the competitiveness of the written application content - Supporting Licensing Associate I teammates with writing tasks as directed - Assisting with content gap analyses and gathering information needed to fill gaps, which may involve communicating with internal departments and conducting self-directed research - Assisting with template improvement, proofing, and review - Monitoring developments

Job Requirements:

in cannabis science, industry best practice, regulatory requirements, and internal policies and procedures, and making corresponding changes to licensing materials where appropriate - Conducting research and improving materials as directed - Ensuring consistency with internal writing standards and project themes - Formatting, copy editing, compiling, and storing all application materials in accordance with internal standards - Coordinating with other members of the licensing team, operations team, and other external parties as needed to complete writing tasks - Creating and maintaining Word style templates and other shared documents - Assisting with assignment and deadline communication, status tracking, and communicating delays and issues within and outside of writing team as directed - Administrative support as needed, including formatting written materials, converting files, organizing files, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and assisting with preparation of final application packages for submission (whether in printed or electronic form) - Other duties as assigned SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: - Minimum BA in Social Sciences, Humanities, or Business Administration, MA/MS or other post-graduate education preferred - 6+ months professional experience writing competitive cannabis license applications, grant or research proposals, procurement bid proposals, or completing other major technical or business writing projects with deadlines - Proficient in use of computers, including Adobe and Microsoft Office software. At minimum, must be capable of using styles and other formatting tools in Microsoft Word, sending and receiving emails and attachments in Microsoft Outlook, converting between different file formats, and compiling and organizing PDF documents in Adobe - Professional experience in the legal cannabis industry or demonstrated in-depth cannabis
