The Inventory Supervisor contributes to the success of the company by assisting the General Manager and Assistant Store Manager(s) in ensuring uniformity of procedure, organization and compliance of all inventory related functions.
- Responsible for maintaining uniformity of all policies and procedures throughout assigned state.
- Ensures that the inventory departments are meeting company standards and are complying with regulatory policies and procedures.
- Partners closely with Management and Compliance to facilitate necessary reports.
- Provides dashboard metrics of inventory activities.
- Oversees inventory staff to ensure the intake procedure is correct and all products accurately reflect the purchase order. Ensures that proper system transactions are recorded
- Evaluates and confirms that all receivables are stored correctly and that transactions are processed in timely manner.
- Performs periodic physical inventory counts and daily cycle counts in an accurate and timely manner.
- Performs accurate counts of physical inventory.
- Demonstrates ability to summarize variances between physical counts and system counts. Provides detailed and accurate explanations for variances.
- Immediately reports any damages and/or discrepancies to Management.
- Able to identify the root cause of variances and implement continuous improvement action with the collaboration of all levels of management.
- Demonstrates ability to resolve inventory discrepancies on a timely basis and actively monitor Inventory Theft or Loss.
- Proactively implements Inventory Loss Prevention policies.
- Demonstrates ability to update transactions in inventory system accurately and timely.
- Manages all record maintenance.
Job Requirements:
- Communicates cost discrepancies that cannot be amended within the GreenBits POS to the accounting department.
- Communicates with merchandising division to ensure inventory levels are efficient at all times.
- Validates and verifies incoming documents, product, quantity and quality.
- Maintains a neat, clean, organized and safe environment in inventory room always.
- Ensures that all items in the inventory room(s) and humidor are stored according to policy.
- Reviews Item Master details daily. Updates as necessary for errors and recommend root
- Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in the cannabis industry is preferred.
- Education/credentials from institutions such as Oaksterdam are preferred.
- Dispensary state license (Nevada only); preferred
- Online training/certification through the Nevada Dispensary Association (Nevada only); preferred
- Must possess proficient English skills, both written and verbal.
- Must possess effective oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel in a professional and effective manner.
- Ability to create and compose written materials with proper English grammar and punctuation.
- Ability to communicate clearly with employees, management, and team members.
- Ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a multi-cultural business environment.
- Must be a self-starter with a strong sense of self-development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Metrc and use of MRP systems.
- Must possess strong conflict management skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the retail cannabis environment.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations related to cannabis operations.
