Job Description:
Under general direction, manage all laboratory aspects of analytical sample testing projects for a client or a specific program for a client. Act as main point of contact for the client after sample analysis and throughout the entire project lifecycle (sample intake, sample analysis, final report).
- Oversee project conduct to provide a pro-active and timely project/study communication with the clients to maximize client satisfaction and continuing relationships as the primary point of contact between the laboratory team and client.
- Ensure accurate, timely and efficient analysis execution according to SOP’s/quote
- Ensure that client’s formal approval on specifications, incl. amendments, are obtained before putting into production.
- Ensure all project activities (sample intake, sample analysis, final report) are delivered on-time, in full (on specs), within budgets and oversee corrective actions to bring them back on track and meet client expectations.
- Report client data to State regulatory authorities
- Maintain complete financial management of the budget for assigned projects.
- Take appropriate actions and escalate to management or other functional and site leaders if services and projects deviate from expectations
- Ensure that the client file is accurate, maintained, complete, and self-explanatory such that it will pass a regulatory inspection during the lifetime of the study, and at any time after closure in line with the prevailing regulations at the time of the study
- When required, actively support sales in bid process to gain repeat, and/or new, long-term business
- Support and work with QA, be present during audits, and present the results.
- Ensure timely resolution of corrective actions assigned to the Project Managers.

- Demonstrated organizational abilities and capable of successfully carrying out a variety of detailed tasks.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned from time to time by the General Manager or Client Operations Manager.
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent years of experience in project management
- Three to five years of experience in a laboratory environment.
- Three to five years successfully interacting with clients and/or the public on a routine basis.
- Experience working in the marijuana or hemp industry
- Experience with compliance and multi state testing regulations: OLCC, ORELAP… etc
- Demonstrated ability to assume steadily increasing levels of responsibility.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Intermediate MS Office knowledge (especially Excel).
- Experience with Chain of Custody and invoicing.
- Prior experience using a multi-line IP phone system.
- Flexibility to perform duties in other areas as needed.
- Background in chemistry and/or accounting are a major plus.

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Travel is not expected b
