Job Description:

The responsibilities of the Harvest/Post-Harvest Lead within Garden Remedies, Inc. (GRI) broadly embrace the key areas described below. The most critical role is to ensure that all Garden Remedies flower is properly harvested and trimmed to GRI standards. Helping with the Harvest/Post harvest Supervisor, the Harvest and Post-Harvest Lead ensures Processing and sanitation operations occur as required. - Fosters a productive and positive working environment for the Processing team - Maintains extensive knowledge of GRI’s products - Maintains sanitation SOPs - Is knowledgeable about MA compliance and reporting regulations - Maintains a clean, safe, and well managed department - Acknowledges any inventory issues and properly reports them to management - Completes other duties as assigned in a timely and appropriate manner - The Harvest and Post-Harvest Lead has higher access to the facility, including Vault access, to monitor and maintain Inventory - Oversee Sanitation, harvest, curing, drying, trimming and METRC tracking - Communicates with Packaging Specialists & Cultivation managers to ensure appropriate product processing and flow to meet business needs. - Maintains appropriate records including green waste processing - Manages with oversight of repetitive workstation or assembly line operations - Accountable for performing quality checks, reviewing test results, harvest lists according to Standard Operating Procedures - Uses various equipment including trim machines, measuring equipment, Zamboni and other tools and machinery as required for the task at hand - Follows and executes compliant practices adhering in accordance with state regulations and GRI’s standard operating procedures. - Promotes a work environment that is positive and rooted in education

Job Requirements:

- Maintain a sanitary organized cultivation and flower storage area - Continuous evaluations of team members, assisting with all hiring, firing, and discipline. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Extremely high attention to detail, including the ability to detect quality defects and perform accurate counts and measurements - Demonstrated history of strong attendance, including the ability to adhere to a strict schedule - Computer skills including Microsoft Word and other programs as required - Ability to work within a team and cultivate long-term working relationships, maintains a positive attitude in a busy department - Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, including the ability to lift up to 40 pounds consistently, bend, stoop and twist with or without reasonable accommodation - Fun attitude and strong work ethic - Works under the general supervision of the Harvest/Post Harvest Manager - This position is responsible for supervising other employees - At least 21 years of age. - 4 years of experience managing in a cannabis processing capacity or closely related managerial duties and/or Bachelor degree in Horticulture, Management or a highly transferable field. - Demonstrated passion to serving the medical and adult-use cannabis community. - Excellent oral and written communication and employee relations skills - Computer operating skills - Must not have been convicted of any felony offense - Medical marijuana and recreational marijuana product knowledge highly desirable - Experience in a complex, fast-paced environment - Ability to connect with coworkers and visitors genuinely and respectfully - Desire to learn more about cannabis - Organization and planning skills - Strong operational skills in a service environment - Team-building skills - Ability to pass all required background checks to work w
