Financial Systems:
- Applying accounting and auditing principles and techniques to ensure that data integrity, internal controls and audit trails are maintained throughout all applications
- Applying solid accounting knowledge to test strategies to ensure systems are operating correctly and resulting revenue is in accordance with GAAP
- Using requisite knowledge of general business, coupled with skills in business information processing and measurement to manage and analyze large volumes of accounting and related data
- Defining integration needs between the ERP system and external systems (e.g. vendor portals)
- Conducting routine conversion updates with the Accounting / Finance team * Monitoring changes in other agency systems impacting financial systems
- Ensuring data integrity while exporting from and importing to accounting and related systems * Administering the department’s financial applications including security, maintenance and upgrades
- Studying manual processes and procedures and making recommendations on how to automate
- Reviewing and monitoring data warehouse tools
Job Requirements:
so as to identify, enhance and modify new and existing financial reports with better and faster information * Studying and reporting on unused functions of existing systems; developing and testing new or modified report formats, customized programs to manipulate data or changes to file structure
- Leading review efforts of various test case scenarios against expected results, communicating defects and ensuring they are satisfactorily resolved
- Coordinating installation of program fixes and customized menus for existing programs; troubleshooting programming and systems problems associated with applications already in use * Reviewing edit reports and operator error messages and providing applications support to end users for system and related applications

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Management Information Systems, minimum five years of experience
- Accounting experience with account reconciliations, analysis, and reporting using data downloads and electronic businesses (E-business) to the web and other systems
- Strong experience in interpreting data for month-end entries from enterprise and disparate systems with strong emphasis on automated journal entry preparation, documentation and upload file format expertise
- Skilled with other computer applications, including Microsoft Excel and Access, ERP software, workflow software and electronic documentation management systems (EDMS)
- Proven knowledge of the flow of financial transactions for a large enterprise sized organization
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; project management, and a background leveraging IT tools to create business solutions including making recommendations for system configurations, design and testing
- Experience with SAP, Data Warehouse and Power BI a plus
