Job Description:
Veltiste Wellness is an ambitious cannabis start-up led by industry veterans, with multiple licenses in Michigan, Illinois, and Missouri. We are seeking an Extraction Tech to assist the Extraction Manager with cannabis extraction and refinement. This individual must be able to operate independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with basic scientific principles and laboratory experience. Must be able to follow written directions and maintain a laboratory notebook.
- Must follow all applicable policies, procedures, and guidelines. This includes the safe and proper operation of all applicable machinery, instrumentation, and equipment.
- Operate laboratory instruments, make observations, calculate and record results.
- Understand and meet daily goals.
- Work as part of a team to meet production schedules.
- Employee may also be responsible for monitoring production lines and collecting samples for analysis.
- Follow SOP and standard analytical procedures to meet compliance.
- Record data in lab notebooks, computer databases, and test reports.
- May be required to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds.
- Science focused bachelor’s degree a plus.
- 1 year of cannabis lab or manufacturing experience a preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Experience following instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform critical job functions.
- Able to find and diagnose mechanical issues with industrial equipment.
- Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
