The Apothecarium, founded in 2011, is a full-service medical and recreational cannabis dispensary with three California locations in San Francisco, and new dispensaries in Berkeley and Capitola. Las Vegas, Pennsylvania and New Jersey are also home to The Apothecarium dispensaries.

Customer Care Consultants primary responsibility is to serve The Apothecarium’s guests. This role requires nothing less than excellent customer service, total understanding and strict compliance
Job Requirements:
with all medical cannabis regulations and a positive, respectful attitude. Consultants will need to have a thorough understanding of strains, genetics, and relevant medical marijuana terminology and how to help our customers select the cannabis flowers and infused products that are right for them. Consultants will provide outstanding service to guests, and consult on medical cannabis strains, applications, effects, and routes of delivery.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in professional and life experience
Must be authorized to live and work in the U.S.

Must be at least 21 years old
Must speak/write English proficiently
Experience working in the cannabis industry highly desirable
Experience working in medical services and/or the health & wellness industry highly desirable
Experience working in retail & customer service experience highly desirable

Perform opening and closing duties
Answer phone calls, promptly return voicemails and email
Field a wide range of questions online, over the phone, and in-person regarding cannabis law, changing regulations, and inventory
Admin the Zendesk support channels to provide support and customer service to customers
Ask appropriate questions to assist in customers selection of medicine
Inform, recommend, select products for guests depending on their individual needs
Communicate the effects of and different types of cannabis to guests
Complete guest consultations efficiently and meet service expectations
Ensure accurate cash handling, and register management
