Controller

Controller is accountable for all aspects of financial management for Humboldt Farms, reporting to the VP of Finance. This includes accounting, regulatory, and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, financial risk management, and the development of internal company control policies and procedures. We are seeking an individual with extensive Duties/Responsibilities: - Manage all Accounting Department projects, including billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, production inventory accounting and revenue recognition - Develop internal control guidelines, policies and procedures for budget accounting, cash and - Establish and maintain all financial controls with the Humboldt Farms Accounting Department - Coordinate and direct department budgets - Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards - Prepare and present financial reports and risk analysis to Humboldt Farms Executive Leadership - Manage and oversee the Humboldt Farms general ledger - Prepare and publish timely financial statements - Research technical accounting issues for compliance - Support month-end and year-end close processes - Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting - Monitor variances, summarize trends and investigate budget deficiencies - Develop and monitor business performance metrics - - Monitor and confirm financial condition of internal departments by conducting audits - Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions within Accounting or - Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing
