Job Description:

- Manage all Accounting Department projects, including billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, production inventory accounting and revenue recognition - Develop internal control guidelines, policies and procedures for budget accounting, cash and credit management, and administrative goals - Establish and maintain all financial controls with the Humboldt Farms Accounting Department - Coordinate and direct department budgets - Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards - Prepare and present financial reports and risk analysis to Humboldt Farms Executive Leadership - Manage and oversee the Humboldt Farms general ledger - Prepare and publish timely financial statements - Research technical accounting issues for compliance - Support month-end and year-end close processes - Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting - Monitor variances, summarize trends and investigate budget deficiencies - Develop and monitor business performance metrics - Hire, train, and retain skilled accounting staff (AP/Payroll Clerk & Finance Specialist) - Monitor and confirm financial condition of internal departments by conducting audits - Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions within Accounting or Human Resources - Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions - Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential - Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures - Experience with creating financial statements - Experience

Job Requirements:
