At the highest level, the Headwaters Compliance Specialist will conduct research, investigate facts and develop legal arguments for the Director of Compliance. Organize and archive documents related to completed and ongoing cases & keep track of changes in legal framework by providing timely updates on these changes. - Participate in compliance meetings as required - Participate in permitting meetings as required - Participate in RFPs and client meetings as required - Resolve issues relating to daily compliance issues - Establish and maintain relationships with teams (internal / external) to design facilities - Handle compliance reports and prepare custom reports, ensuring accuracy and quality - Positive attitude with a willingness to work hard and be on a steep learning curve - Attention to detail with demonstrated problem solving ability - Must have a willingness to work on and learn new software applications - Must have good communications skills and be a team player - Paralegal Certificate is preferred. - Background in land use development, including title and survey review. - Internship or 1 years’ experience working in compliance or consulting is a plus. - Driven, motivated and passionate about life inside and outside of work. - Focused on creating solutions, growth and systems in a startup environment. - Able to lead teams in a way that inspires organizational growth and
