Job Summary:

The Packaging Manager is responsible for the overseeing of all process’ in the department including but not limited to harvest, destem, properly weighing, tracking and inspecting all cannabis flower intended for packaging. They are also responsible to communicate to the Processing Lead to follow through with the tasks assigned to the team by the Processing manager. This position is an integral piece of the harvest, cure, and trim process at CannTech PA, focusing on effective teamwork, ensuring that all numbers are correctly reported in the state mandated inventory tracking system, and only the highest-quality, well-manicured cannabis flower is packaged for sale to our patients.

Assist the manager in organizing, planning and implementing strategy

Oversee leads inspection and weighing cannabis flower, stems, stalks, and fan leaves and input into the state mandated software system

Report any instances of identifiable occurrence of mold, mildew, seeds, pests, or pathogens to the Processing Manager

Collaborate on scheduling of new team members

Assist Processing Manager with any other tasks related to the post-harvest process as necessary

Allocate duties to the processing team leads as needed

Working Conditions:

The person in this position will constantly be exposed to dust, kief, cleaning chemicals and fumes. Although systems are in place to remove these byproducts, there is still exposure to some degree.

Lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds may be required

Constant movement and use of hands/fingers and limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
