Job Description:
Visser Advisors, LLC, a multi-faceted entrepreneurial and consulting business, is expanding its consulting expertise into the cannabis industry! While still up-and-coming, Visser Advisors' Cannabis Consulting has significant experience with the technical aspects of the permitting/licensing process, while simultaneously working with our clients to help keep their farms in compliance.
The Cannabis Compliance Officer will be responsible for the organization and management of client documents, including but not limited to, environmental studies/reports, legal documentation, and inspection reports. The Cannabis Compliance Officer maintains compliance with environmental regulatory agencies as well as state and local permitting/licensing agencies.
Successful candidates will possess the ability to work independently and report back to their supervisor or clients in a professional and efficient manner. Self-determined, motivated, and hardworking are all characteristics of the desired candidate.
- Organize and analyze various documents, scientific studies, and legal information
- Keep up to date on reporting requirements of various regulatory agencies
- Report accurate information to regulatory agencies (SWRCB, CERS, etc.) in a timely manner
- Develop specialized training programs to communicate hazard control information to field personnel
- Educate and train field personnel in good housekeeping practices and safe work procedures
- Ensure training and/or certification of Field Management personnel, (OSHA, Pesticide Handler, Hazardous Waste Handler, etc.)
- Perform analysis and institute safe work procedures
- Maintain all site required documentation related to safety issues (accident reports, inspections reports, training logs, etc.)
- Maintain and amend diagrams/maps

- Ability to read and write in scientific language
- Implement various conducted studies and reports into applicable documents for large-scale applications
- Analyze, complete, organize, and compile sufficient applications for the County
- Has a background in environmental science and environmental agencies/regulations: (CEQA, SWRCB, etc.)
- Has a background with general Cannabis operations/regulatory agencies (BCC, CalCannabis, County, etc.)
- Has experience with permitting
- GIS knowledge or experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
