Assistant Grower

The Assistant Grower works with a Grower to provide all daily care and crop culture for a wide variety of plants. The Assistant Grower must plan and perform all daily tasks on Grower’s days off. The Assistant Grower works safely in a wholesale environment and in compliance with established industry regulations and OSHA standards. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Properly evaluate greenhouse crops and irrigate as needed, both manually and with automatic systems such as drippers, flood tables, and booms Mix and apply fertilizers, pesticides, plant growth regulators, and other treatments Monitor plant development to evaluate growth and quality Maintain records of growth and production Report observations and actionable items to Grower Monitor and maintain appropriate growing conditions such as humidity, light levels, and temperature Trim, space, and propagate crops as directed Perform light maintenance and repairs Adapt to changing priorities and varied responsibilities Attend employee meetings Perform duties assigned by your manager within expected timeframe
