Assistant Annuals Grower

The Annual Grower assists the Greenhouse manager and Greenhouse coordinator in the daily maintenance, upkeep and care of all annuals, herbs, vegetables and other species in the annual program. - Ensures that plants are receiving the adequate water, nutrients and growing environment necessary for their species to produce quality plants - Consolidation and inventory of plant crops - Plant or transplant seeds, bulbs, seedlings, plugs and cuttings - Prunes and spaces plants when necessary - Scout for pests and disease and report to Greenhouse coordinator and IPM - Sprays PGR when/if necessary - Takes lead when pulling annual orders for sales team - Participates as an effective member of the team, continue professional growth, formulates goals, seeks feedback and applies new skills - Trains individuals who are sent to help with growing tasks - Plan out activities before performing them - Works with the water tech coordinator for all watering needs - Performs other related duties as assigned - Minimum high school diploma or equivalent knowledge - Strong skills with verbal and written communication - Basic computer skills and strong math skills - Skills and ability in time management and task prioritization. - Ability be self-motivating while paying close attention to detail - Some horticultural knowledge - Willingness to communicate and ask questions if a task or responsibility is not clear Must be able to be on your feet 100% of the time, able to squat and bend over constantly and lift up to 30 lbs. minimum.
