Job Description:

As a member of a cross-disciplinary engineering team, the candidate will help advance fundamental understanding of various atomization technologies and support the introduction of new products to markets. Previous product applications include E-cig, cannabis, herbal and pharmaceutical inhalation drug delivery. The candidate will focus on delivering high-quality scientific contributions with expertise in physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, formulation and/or process characterization. - Measure the physical-chemical properties of cannabis products which are critical in vaping application, i.e., composition, concentration, viscosity-temperature dependence, flow behavior, boiling point, vapor pressure etc. - Design atomization experiments and conduct aerosol vapor analysis using analytical chemistry instruments GC-MS, HPLC etc.; - Work with Sensory Research to establish correlation between desired user experience and vapor properties using GC-Olfactory instruments - Perform data analysis and prepare technical report to document the results - Participate in R&D projects to evaluate new technology and product to support business growth; conduct competitor product benchmarking - Develop new and improve existing analytical methods to meet the needs from R&D activity and business growth; keep up with the latest development of testing methods/techniques in the industry and regulation - With instruction of lab manager, work closely with HQs analytical, technology and R&D teams to establish comprehensive product safety standard and risk assessment - Strictly follow lab EHS requirements, ensure quality testing/calibration, prepare and maintain system SOP according to ISO 17025 requirement - Assist in maintaining the laboratory for ISO accreditation and other standards,

Job Requirements:

future audits and preparing data packages for regulatory agencies. - Bachelor or master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field with strong experimental analytical chemistry skills. - Hands on experience in GC-MS, HPLC, GC, LC-MS etc. elemental analysis using ICP-MS or ICP-OES is preferred. - 2-year or more working experience in chemical analysis lab. - Knowledge in thermal decomposition and pathways of organic compounds - Fast learner and proficient in scientific literature review; apply relevant learning and best practice to work - Strong project management experience and basic knowledge of statistical data analysis - Able to thrive in a team environment, attention to details, strong problem solving and communication skills - Candidates with vaping or inhalation technology background, medical inhalation device or respiration drug delivery experience are preferred.
