Job Description:

Job Title: Licensing Manager Department: Legal (Corporate Growth) Reports to: Chloe Grossman, Director of Corporate Growth FLSA Status: Full time exempt Salary: Commensurate with experience Location: Tallahassee or Remote   KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   Assist the Director of Corporate Growth with managing competitive licensing projects and day to day department activities Manage technical writing team(s), set priorities and schedules, and serve as senior writer and editor Ensure quality, accuracy, consistency, and compliance of all written application materials Collaborate with internal and external partners to gather information needed for timely submission of license applications Clarify, monitor, and research regulatory requirements related to licensing for internal and external stakeholders Assist with building public and private partnerships in new markets Assist with expeditious completion of requests by regulatory authorities for additional information, documentation, and key person disclosures Represent the company in interactions with local and state government, community members, and potential partners as directed Keeps department management appropriately informed of ongoing activity, issues, and changes Assists with project management and task management as directed Performs other duties as assigned   SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree or higher in social sciences, humanities, business, or similar field 2+ years of competitive state cannabis licensing experience with a track record of success 2+ years of experience reading and interpreting cannabis laws and regulations Prior law firm and/or cannabis consultant experience is preferred Extensive knowledge of cannabis markets and cannabis business operations Able to read, understand, and analyze laws, regulations, application requirements, and other materials Excellent organization and attention to detail Works well independently and as part of a team Proven ability

to effectively manage priorities across projects and meet deadlines Able to work independently with minimal supervision and also in a dynamic, fast-paced small team environment Clear, concise, and professional communication in written and verbal formats; able to communicate across organizational levels Self-starter with a “can do” attitude High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Adobe   ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must provide writing sample and list of prior licensing projects upon request Must be willing to travel by plane Must be willing to work extended hours as needed to meet approaching deadlines (following timely submission of a project, time off may be granted at manager’s discretion to reward for going above and beyond) Must be able to pass a level 1 and level 2 background check and drug screening (cannabis/THC is EXCLUDED from drug screening) Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the job duties     PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to remain in a stationary position (e.g., at a desk), often sitting for prolonged periods. Must be able to move about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another. Must be able to repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands, or fingers (e.g., typing). Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions. Must be able to spend long hours in front of a computer screen.     WORK SCHEDULE: 40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs.
