Job Description:
REPORTS TO: Director of Recruitment, Cultivation & Diversity Programs (RCD)
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Office of Human Capital is committed to recruiting, hiring, developing, and retaining a racially, ethnically, culturally, and linguistically diverse group of highly effective and culturally proficient teachers and principals every year. We continue to focus our efforts around three key "levers" for human capital reform: Cultivate and Recruit, Hire Early, and Develop and Retain. These levers remain at the center of our strategy for accelerating student learning.
The Office of Human Capital has strategically reorganized Diversity Programs and the recruitment teams to combine talent recruitment, pipeline development, teacher development and diversity programs to better support candidates and employees from recruitment throughout their careers in response to the district's workforce diversity needs. The new team is Recruitment, Cultivation & Diversity Programs (RCD) and also includes the BPS Teaching Fellowship (BPSTF), an accelerated program that prepares aspiring teachers within the Boston community to lead our students to academic success. BPSTF is part of the district's overall human capital strategy to increase the diversity and effectiveness of our teaching force.
The RCD Program Coordinator will manage program operations and data management systems including the execution of recruitment and selection strategies to support the BPS Teaching Fellowship program. The RCD Program Coordinator will also work closely with the RCD Leadership team to support the team to meet its ambitious goals.
