Salary $28.51 - $49.60 Hourly $59,307 - $103,177 Annually This position is a Pay Band 90 Purpose of Position This position is responsible for directing the Medical Cannabis Program (MCP). Why does the job exist? Position exists to ensure compliance with rules and regulations governing the Medical Cannabis Program. How does it get done? Position will direct the management and accountability of the MCP including budget, operations and personnel. In coordination with the Office of the Secretary and Office of General Counsel position will direct and manage all efforts of the MCP in the ongoing development and design of the program, policies, procedures and regulations. Position is responsible for providing testimony on MCP at legislative and public hearings, to include presentation of data, trends and information regarding the program. Position is responsible for overseeing responses to Public Records Requests for the MCP. Position will represent MCP as part of the Senior Management Team. Who are the customers? Position serves Department of Health leadership, as well as customers of the Medical Cannabis Program. Ideal Candidate Will have: -Experience working with in a Medical Cannabis Regulatory Program -Experience working in Health Program Management

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualification A Master's Degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and eight (8) years of professional level experience with a strategic impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. If Minimum Qualification requires a specific number of "semester hours" in a field (e.g. 6 semester hours in Accounting), applicants MUST have those semester hours in order to meet the minimum qualifications. No substitutions apply for semester hours. Employment Requirements Must possess a current and valid Driver's License. Pre-employment background investigation is required and conditional pending results. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
