What you will typically be responsible for:
Administering the Business License Tax, Transient Occupancy Tax and Cannabis Tax programs and enforcing provisions to ensure compliance
Determining the rates and exemptions for the different business tax programs
Auditing books and records to determine the appropriate business classification and tax liability
Maintaining accurate business tax account information and writing reports
Designing and distributing forms for application, reporting and remittance of business taxes
Responding to taxpayers regarding tax refund claims and requests for hearing on disputed assessments
