Job Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Determine fertility needs of greenhouse crops by making pH and EC measurements.
Monitor crops daily, making sure they are sufficiently watered for the day.
Scout and assist in identifying insects and diseases of greenhouse crops.
Apply appropriate IPM solutions
Log IPM applications in Pesticide Application manual.
Make sure necessary pesticide warning signs are applied in application areas.
Assist in monitoring environmental conditions in greenhouse on Priva.
Graphical Tracking - record keeping
Weekends required
Occasional lifting of heavy objects.
Job Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL
Bachelor of Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture OR
Associate’s degree in Horticulture with 1 year of growing experience OR
3 years of growing experience
Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus
Pesticide Applicator license preferred
Computer skills in Microsoft Office and Priva

Salary: $30,000.00 to $40,000.00 /year
